Before You Buy

Every wrap is custom-made for your exact make, model and year. We don't make generic one-size-fits-all wraps. You enter your car details when you customise, and our template is cut specifically for your steering wheel.

We cover 99% of cars on Australian roads. If you're unsure whether we support your car, use the compatibility checker on our product page or contact us with your make, model and year.

Leather ($199) — Automotive-grade leather. Smooth, durable, easy to clean and the most popular choice. Great for everyday drivers who want a clean, premium finish that's low maintenance.

Half Leather + Half Alcantara ($249) — A combination of leather and Alcantara on the same wheel. The split is wherever you prefer — there's no fixed rule. Most people choose Alcantara on the sections their hands grip most, with leather elsewhere, but it's entirely your call. A popular choice for anyone who wants the feel of Alcantara where it counts without going full Alcantara.

Full Alcantara ($299) — Italian Alcantara from Camari International, the only official Alcantara distributor in the Asia-Pacific. The same material used by Ferrari, Lamborghini and Porsche. Ultra-soft texture, exceptional grip, and the choice of anyone who wants the most premium finish possible. Requires slightly more care than leather.

Not sure which to choose? Contact us with your car details and we'll recommend what works best based on how you drive and what we've seen look great on similar vehicles.

Pricing is the same across all makes and models:

  • Leather: $199 AUD
  • Half Leather + Half Alcantara: $249 AUD
  • Full Alcantara: $299 AUD
  • 12 O'Clock Marker: +$10

These prices are for the full DIY kit with free express shipping. Professional installation is an additional $150, available in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth — select it at cart.

A 12 o'clock marker is a contrasting material detail at the top of your steering wheel that tells you at a glance where centre is. It's a common feature on performance and motorsport-inspired steering wheels.

Most everyday drivers don't need one — your steering wheel naturally tells you where centre is. But if you like the look, or you do any track days or spirited driving where a quick visual reference helps, it's a nice touch for just $10 extra.

The main difference is in the template and the materials. You could use the best materials in the world but if the template is wrong, it won't work. We develop our templates through 3-4 iterations before production and cut them with a CNC machine for precision. The $5 ones are cut by hand.

For materials, when we say genuine Alcantara®, it's the real thing — sourced from Camari International, the only official Alcantara® distributor in the Asia-Pacific region. Not synthetic suede.

We also offer a professional installation service — something no other wrap seller does. If they're not confident enough in their own product to install it, what does that tell you?

Try the $5 one first if you want. We'll be here when you're ready for the real thing.

Yes — our Gallery page has photos of completed wraps across a range of cars and materials. You can also browse our Instagram @steeringwheelwraps which is regularly updated with customer installs.

Our customiser lets you choose your material, colour and stitching combination, so you can tailor it to match or complement your interior. If you're unsure what will look best, contact us with your car details and interior colour and we'll advise based on what we've seen work well on similar vehicles.

Installation

Most people find it easier than they expected. You need to set aside a couple of hours, take your time and follow our instructions — and genuinely, we believe anyone can do it. You don't need any special skills or tools. Everything you need comes in the box.

We have a full step-by-step YouTube tutorial that walks you through the entire process. Watch it before you start.

We back every wrap with our DIY Install Guarantee — the only one of its kind in the world. Follow our tutorial, reach out if you need help, and if you still can't get it fitted, send it back for a full refund. Even if you've attempted the installation. Most people don't need it, but it's there.

Most customers complete their installation in 1-2 hours. First-timers sometimes take a little longer and that's completely normal. There's no need to rush — taking your time produces a better result.

Professional installation at our workshop or mobile service takes under 2 hours from start to finish.

Everything you need is in the box — the wrap, thread, needle, double-sided tape, trim tool, and written step-by-step instructions. You don't need to source anything separately. We also have a YouTube tutorial if you'd rather follow along visually.

Don't panic. The most common mistake is getting the wrap off-centre or pulling it unevenly — and in most cases you can simply cut the thread, remove the wrap and start again. The wrap itself is generally fine to re-use as long as it hasn't been stretched or torn.

If you're not sure what to do, contact us with a photo before you do anything else. We've seen most scenarios and can usually advise a fix rather than a replacement.

If it's genuinely unsalvageable and it's a manufacturing issue on our end, we'll make it right. If damage was caused during installation, it falls outside our warranty — which is exactly why we recommend watching the tutorial before you start rather than winging it.

Yes — watch our full YouTube tutorial before you start. It walks through the entire process step by step. Most people find that watching it once before opening the box makes the actual installation significantly easier.

If you're in Sydney you're also welcome to visit our Alexandria workshop where you can see the installation process in person before deciding whether to DIY or book a professional install.

Yes — $150 added at cart, available in Sydney, Perth and Melbourne.

We regularly travel interstate for installations. Join the waitlist for your city on our Locations page and we'll reach out when we have confirmed dates for your area. Include your suburb and car details so we can plan the route efficiently.

Unfortunately not. Third-party wrap quality is inconsistent and we can't guarantee fit and finish on a product we didn't make. The steering wheel is your primary contact point with the car — an ill-fitting wrap is a safety concern and we won't compromise on that.

Product

Your wrap arrives in our branded mailer box with all tools and instructions packed inside. The wrap itself is sealed in a ziplock bag to prevent it drying out during transit from temperature and moisture changes.

  • Leather: 1.4mm ± 0.05mm
  • Alcantara®: 1.2mm ± 0.05mm
  • Carbon Fibre (Vinyl): 1.3mm ± 0.05mm

No — removable. Cut the thread and remove the wrap when you're ready. If you used the double-sided tape, wipe it off with warm soapy water.

Quite the opposite — it protects it. The one caveat is if your wheel is already peeling. Tape or wrap removal from a peeling wheel can pull more of the existing material off.

Yes. The heating function and all other steering wheel functions work as normal. The heat won't affect the wrap and the wrap won't affect the heat.

Yes, but don't remove the original cover first. Our wraps are measured from your original wheel — remove it and the wheel is thinner, the wrap won't fit.

We normally patch or repair the torn section first, then install the wrap over the top so the damage is completely hidden. Contact us with details and we'll advise the best approach for your specific wheel.

Leather: A dedicated leather cleaner with a microfibre cloth is best. A slightly damp microfibre cloth works fine for regular maintenance.

Alcantara®: A quick brush with a leather or dedicated Alcantara® brush after each use keeps it looking its best and means you'll rarely need a cleaning product. When deeper cleaning is needed, use a dedicated Alcantara® cleaner with a microfibre cloth.

Yes — 24 months. A few things not covered under warranty:

  • Alcantara® that hasn't been cleaned regularly can develop a matted look — this is a cleaning issue, not a product fault
  • Normal wear and tear from regular use or improper cleaning
  • Damage caused during installation, such as incorrect positioning or tearing when tucking edges

Before you open the ziplock bag, watch our YouTube tutorial all the way through. Seriously — it makes a big difference to watch the full process before you start rather than learning as you go.

Then: lay everything out, read the written instructions in the box, and find a comfortable spot with good lighting. Give yourself 2 hours and take your time.
